THE CHALLENGE

CHALLENGE 001 — ANY HIGH STREET

Opens: 22 August 2026
Closes: 17 October 2026 at 11:59pm UK time

Only qualifying stock assets added to a stock agency on or after 22 August 2026 and accepted by a stock agency before 11:59pm UK time on 17 October 2026 will count towards Challenge 001.

The contributors with the highest number of qualifying photographs accepted by stock agencies during the challenge period will win:

1ST PLACE — 500 AI PHOTOGRAPHY TOOLS CREDITS

2ND PLACE — 300 AI PHOTOGRAPHY TOOLS CREDITS

3RD PLACE — 100 AI PHOTOGRAPHY TOOLS CREDITS

Winners and selected contributors can choose whether their ShotScout feature links directly to their accepted stock photograph or to their photography portfolio — helping promote either the image itself or their wider work.

TIES: If two or more contributors tie for a prize position, each will receive the full credit prize for that position. Prizes will not be divided, and a tie will not affect the prizes awarded for the positions below it.

HELP WITH THE RESEARCH — GET 10 FREE CREDITS

This challenge isn't only about winning. We want to find out whether the opportunities identified by ShotScout actually work in the real stock marketplace.

Send us links or reference numbers for at least 10 qualifying stock assets added to a stock agency on or after 22 August 2026, together with your feedback — good or bad — on the ShotScout brief, and we'll give you 10 free AI Photography Tools credits as a thank-you for helping with our research.

We'd also love you to come back and tell us what happens next. Are your photographs appearing in search results? Are they moving up the results? Have they sold?

That longer-term information will help us understand whether ShotScout is identifying opportunities that are not only accepted by agencies, but actually have commercial potential.

Credits can be redeemed on SpeedData Pro Stock Metadata Generator or retained until our ShotScout App is launched.

A FEW SIMPLE RULES

• Only stock assets added to a stock agency on or after 22 August 2026 qualify for Challenge 001.

• You can follow all or only part of the ShotScout brief.

• An image counts once it has been accepted by a stock agency and you provide a link or reference number that allows us to verify it.

• Challenge 001 runs from 22 August 2026 until 11:59pm UK time on 17 October 2026.

• Longer-term search position and sales information is valuable to our research, but does not determine the challenge winners.

• ShotScout is currently at the research stage. The brief identifies opportunities based on our research, but cannot guarantee agency acceptance, search position or sales.

REVERSE RESEARCH

Does the idea survive the evidence?

We approach Adobe Stock as a typical buyer: we start our search broad, which tells us how many assets are available for a given subject. We then add context, format and other filters to narrow the search, seeing how many assets remain. We repeat the process with other agencies to see how the results compare. We are looking for genuinely under-represented opportunities even with subjects that are heavily represented. That is how we identify our ShotScout opportinites.

WHAT CHANGED?

83,010 became 78.

The broad subject looked heavily represented. Add UK context, photography and a vertical requirement and the genuinely competing pool becomes dramatically smaller.

This is what we're teaching ShotScout to look for.

THIS IS HOW WE'RE BUILDING SHOTSCOUT

Research → Shoot → Test → Learn → Improve.

Every Hunt gives us more evidence. Every photographer who tests it gives us better feedback. Over time, both will help shape the algorithms and prompts behind the ShotScout app.
